The Founder of Orion Entertainment, David Schwartz, started the company when he was a freshman at the University of Washington. He got his start DJing house parties in the Greek System, and eventually transitioned into playing clubs, bars, and private events. 10 years later, David, (Orion) has performed at hundreds of events all across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Now a sought after destination Wedding and Event DJ his love for music and travel has propelled him from Hawaii to Boston and a total of 10 U.S States. David loves to blend unexpected genres and decades together – his passion for music and DJing is always reflected in his sets whether playing a wedding, nightclub, bar mitzvah or corporate event. He has received national recognition from Honey Books and the Rising Tide Society, and in 2019 was named as one of 20 on the Rise in the Event Professionals Category. He is a resident DJ with The DJ Sessions a Twitch Featured Partner DJ-Streaming series and a Resident DJ at Supernova Seattle – considered a must stop nightlife destination for many touring artists and known as one of the greatest nightclubs in Seattle hosting world class talent such as Snoop Dogg, James Hype, and Valentino Khan. Now a trusted member of the Supernova Team, he often books Orion DJs for the venue upon request. He is also a DJ lessons instructor at Guitar Center in Roosevelt and cherishes the change that a career in music can create in peoples lives and the confidence it can instill in them. He has helped many improve their craft and launch their careers. 

Austin’s love for music began at an early age. He began performing choir and piano when he was in elementary school, singing the start spangled banner for local sporting events. When he and David met in 2018, they began working events together. As their relationship strengthened so did Austin’s involvement with Orion Entertainment. He has become an accomplished DJ/MC performing at Queer Bar, the High Dive, and countless Orion events including Weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and school dances. He is an integral part of the Orion Team and is the Chief Operations Officer at Orion Entertainment. He was the mastermind behind our award winning virtual event experience, that earned Orion Entertainment the Emerald City Applause Award for Best Virtual Event Entertainment during the Global Pandemic of 2020. David and Austin are engaged to be married in October of 2024. 

Christian first discovered his passion for music as a senior in High School, he began DJing professionally at the University of Washington at events on campus and joined the Orion team in 2019. Christian is a dynamic performer and has an electric personality. His energy is infectious – he loves to spin top 40, hip hop, house, classic rock, funk and disco, whatever music will best keep guests movin’ and groovin’. He is adept at catering his style to his clients vision and his love for music and dancing comes through whenever he is behind the decks. He is a resident DJ at Supernova Seattle and has played at VUE nightclub, Trinity, ORA and Monkey Loft. He is experienced in Weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, College Events, School Proms, Clubs, and Private Events.

Jackson began engaging with music in 2019 as a producer, and quickly found a passion for djing. His musical foundation is in hip hop and house, but can spin anything from top 40 to country, funk to rock, and, of course, all your favorite wedding classics. Jackson has been a part of the Orion team since 2022, and he is able to adapt his skills to the clients’ musical vision. Jackson ensures that his clients will have professional communication, flexibility towards their particular needs, and an electric dance floor that will be difficult to leave.

Jackson has also been making a name for himself in the Seattle nightlife scene under the alias “Dirty J,” and has played at Kremwerk, and Supernova Seattle. While Jackson has only been with Orion Entertainment for one year, after his first DJ lesson with David he dedicated himself to learning, and growth and has risen to prominence quickly as a core member of the Orion Team. 

Johnny is a Texas born and raised percussionist that fell in love with music at an early age. He grew up studying under his father, a morning show radio host with IHeartMedia for over 20 years, so he knows the importance of an experienced MC and what it can bring to an event. His interest of music was passed from father to son as well. Johnny started out dj’ing at bars and clubs in college before making the move out to Seattle. His Energy and personality is what Johnny is known for, and he will always make sure that you’re moving on the dance floor. Yasu Shiji is a Japanese born music producer and dj performing under the artist name KURONEKO in the club music scene.  He transitioned from performing in a band to djing in 2019 but has been playing music and performing since he was young. He has performed at Nectar lounge, Q nightclub, VUE lounge, Trinity, and Supernova Seattle. His favorite genres to play at weddings and private events include Disco, House, Top 40 and Electronic. He is a skilled turntablist capable of rocking any crowd, his energy and joy are contagious. “I create a fun atmosphere when I play that encourages others to be happy, dance and smile. I would love to make your events memorable!” 

Alex started playing the piano at the age of four and hasn’t stopped since! As a college student in Seattle, he started DJing for house parties and quickly developed into a confident, energetic performer with experience playing all types of venues from house parties to major dance music festivals. For every wedding, Alex strives to create a personal, memorable experience through his attention to detail, and energetic personality.

In addition to being a DJ, Alex brings to the table years of experience as a live Master of Ceremonies, a record producer/audio engineer, and a concert pianist and vocalist. His unflappable ability to adapt to circumstances and take charge of situations will ensure that your special day will go off without a hitch!

Alex also performs as a member of the duo deepstate with fellow Orion Headliner Joey Rebbe, playing original music at venues such as Trinity Nightclub, Substation Nightclub, VUE nightclub and The Gorge Amphitheatre.

From a young age, Ty has always had a heart for music. From days in youth spent with his mom as a Jazzercise instructor, music and dancing have always held a major part of their life. With a passion for old school styles, Ty got his first vinyl record for his 18th birthday and now has a collection of 300+ vinyls with genres ranging from old school to jazz, funk, soul, hip- hop, R&B, alternative, and rock and roll. Spinning records at locations like The Central Saloon, The Octopus Bar and Seattle Records, Ty joined the Orion team in 2022. With an infectious smile and charismatic persona, your guests will have a great time with Ty behind the tunes! As a genrebender of music, Ty loves to bring together different styles from different eras to play a tune for everyone in the crowd. With a background in social work, Ty excels at bringing together the clients taste for music with his style for what is sure to be a rockin time.

Kordel’s love for music started at an early age when he played drums and percussion in elementary and high school. During his time at The University of Arizona, Kordel attended several music festivals, including EDC, Life Is Beautiful, and many more. These experiences inspired him to become a DJ. Starting with friends’ parties and community events, Kordel quickly realized he wanted to pursue a career in music after graduating college. Since 2018, Kordel has successfully pursued his passion for music and performance as a DJ, playing at a variety of weddings and corporate events in Arizona and now Washington. Kordel really enjoys listening to Hip-Hop, 90s/2000s, and EDM, but his love for music of all genres gives him an open format role. With his passion for music and his diverse music collection, Kordel is sure to bring energy and excitement to any event.

Brian is a University of Washington graduate with a degree in business, but music was always central to his life. Brian began playing piano at the age of 5, and learned to play the drums at age 7. Now a skilled DJ and music producer, he plans to pursue music as a full time career. Brian started DJing for his fraternity in 2017, playing house parties, formal events, and destinations. He joined the Orion team in 2019 and found his skills transitioned naturally from nightlife into the private event space. Brian is a confident and charasmatic Master of Ceremonies who emphasizes preparation, communication, and professionalism. His goal is to ensure a smooth execution of his client’s timeline while providing them with a personalized experience. As a DJ, Brian loves to play the latest hits alongside classic throwbacks. A people pleaser who loves to engage with his crowd, field requests, and thrives on the energy of his dance-floor. Brian notably participated in Vice Managements DJ Competition and placed first. He is experienced in Weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, House Parties, Clubs and School Dances.

Joey is your DJ/MC for any occasion, having made a name for himself in private events and Seattle nightlife, he can spin any genre from Rap to Rock, EDM to Country, throwbacks to wedding classics. Whatever your taste, Joey’s got the experience and skill to ignite your party at the perfect time.

It’s not just about the music though – the real secret to any successful event is being prepared and adaptable behind the scenes. As an experienced Master of Ceremonies, Joey knows the finer points of managing event flow – be it coordinating vendors, maintaining (or changing) the timeline as needed, directing the crowd, and all the details that make for a smooth execution of the evenings events.

After hours, Joey performs in Seattle’s nightclub scene as deepstate. He’s a regular act at Trinity Nightclub in Pioneer square, and has twice had the pleasure of performing Bass Canyon at the Gorge. Erin’s love for music and event production began early, with her first stage performance at age 3. Her DJ/MC career began in 2013. Since then, her insatiable thirst for knowledge and growth has led her to study with nationally and globally acclaimed event professionals. Erin loves to mix a variety of genres; she values connecting with each client and creating a highly personalized experience. She has performed over a thousand events as a DJ and has a background in vocal performance, stage acting, set design/construction, backstage event management, lighting design, special effects, and drumset performance/instruction. Erin’s other passions include traveling, partner dancing (especially blues and micro fusion), coaching her exercise physiology clients, and exploring nature with her dogs.

If you’re not ready to party your ass off, then Dj Miketech is probably not the DJ for you! The Charleston, South Carolina native has over 15 years of nightclub, weddings and private event experience. He wants you and your guests to pop, lock and drop it, one-two-step, and electric slide all night long. From Whitney to Lil Wayne, the “party starter” adds that atmosphere of “busting a move” to any event.
